Around the villa

The villa is in a very rural location, good walking is available right on your doorstep. The road is very quiet and there is lots to see.

Further afield

Acharavi is the nearest town and is a ten minute walk away or two minutes by car. There you will find some great bars and cafes (Freddo’s and Veggera are our favourites in and out of season), tavernas of all types and prices, a small waterpark (Hydropolis)and of course miles of beaches. Never too busy, but never deserted in the winter either.

North East Corfu

Often referred to as Kensington-on-Sea there are resorts around here geared up for wealthier holiday-makers. We often see celebrities at some of the more exclusive resorts. There are still plenty of villages and beaches with the feel of old fashioned Corfu. If you have ever read ‘My family and other animals’ by Gerald Durrell, it is still possible to find areas of the island that give a flavour of the book.
